Festivities will be hosted at Agudath Achim
Every year we bring together the Jewish community of North Louisiana to celebrate the Festival of Lights! We sing, we eat, we play games, sometimes we see a show, but most importantly, we light the Ḥanukiah (menorah)!
Come dressed warmly this year as our celebration will be outdoors! Sit at a table with your family or bring a blanket and gain the feel of a picnic. We'll enjoy a sandwich dinner made on real New York bagels, kosher deli meat (or veggies), and some delicious home-made sufganiyot (jelly donuts)!
Like to spin the dreidl? Participate in our fist annual dreidl competition and have a chance at our grand prize: $20 Amazon Gift Card! (All proceeds will go directly to Hurricane relief to help rebuild the Jewish communities of Louisiana affected by recent storms)
Due to the pandemic, this year we are taking some extra safety precautions. Our entire program will be held outdoors and masks are required of all in attendance. Additionally, our dinner this year will be individually boxed to avoid any health risks associated with buffet lines.
If you, or anyone in your household feels unwell, please stay home. For those who are not comfortable attending the our celebration in-person, you may pick up your boxed dinner ahead of time and view the festivities online.
In order to ensure we prepare enough food for you, and to remain within the safety guidelines of the state, registration is required.
